To avoid data roaming charges when travelling to the US, BlackBerry 8130 Pearl and 8830 World Phone users may disable their data connection.

Instructions for Turning Off Your Data Connection (BlackBerry 8830 & 8130 Pearl)

1. Select "Options"
2. Select "Mobile Network"
3. Press the roller ball and select "Off"
4. Click “Escape” and select "Save"

IMPORTANT – Once you return home:

5. Follow steps 1-2
6. Press the roller ball and select "On"
7. Click "Escape" and select "Save"

Steps 5 - 7 will ensure you start receiving your emails once you are home.

PLEASE NOTE: This feature is not available for BlackBerry 8703, 7130e, and 7250.
