National Do Not Call List (DNCL)

The National Do Not Call List (DNCL) will allow Canadians to reduce the number of telemarketing calls they receive as of September 30, 2008.

For the purposes of the facts sheets on the National Do Not Call List, information is provided for regular telemarketers and exempt telemarketers. All telemarketers must follow the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules, regardless of whether the call or fax is considered regular or exempt.

Register your home, mobile, VoIP, or fax telephone numbers on the National DNCL:

• TTY device at 1 888-362-5889*
• Fax your fax number to 1 888-362-5328*

*If you are registering by phone or by fax you must call from the telephone number you are registering.

Telemarketers:

Telemarketers may register on and obtain subscriptions to the National DNCL on the National DNCL website.
