Tbaytel's partnership with St. Joseph's Foundation of Thunder Bay has most recently focused on the development of the wellness trail and garden areas at Hogarth Riverview Manor, Sister Leila Greco, Sister Margaret Smith Centre, and the balcony space at Bethammi Nursing Home.
Tbaytel has partnered with NOSM University to support our future doctors. Students trained in the north know our population best and are more likely to stay in northern Ontario to practice after graduation. Your donations will help recruit, train and keep doctors here in Northern Ontario.
Since 2005 Tbaytel Tamarack House has been a home away from home for out-of-town patients and their companions for the duration of their cancer treatment. The house offers 20 bedrooms with private bathrooms, kitchen facilities, a lounge, entertainment, laundry area, and a 24-hour on-site attendant.
The Eleanor Drury Children’s Theatre (EDCT) is a charitable organization that makes children’s theatre accessible for our entire community. The welcoming and nurturing environment of EDCT encourages youth ages 6-18 to develop a variety of skills as they learn to stage incredible performances. From script writing, to acting, dancing, singing, set and costume design, the participants grow together in a safe and inclusive environment, creating a production they are proud to share with their audiences.
Hospice Northwest is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate support and resources to clients and their loved ones. Hospice Northwest “helps make every moment matter” by offering comfort, support and a sense of connection to families and clients who are dealing with a life limiting illness or struggling with grief. The Board, staff and volunteers of Hospice Northwest all believe “how we die matters”.
In 2018, the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay provided support to 560 families. The organization couldn't do it without its amazing and dedicated staff members like Margie, who empowers others to find joy in their lives despite their challenges. Tbaytel is proud to support the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay.
George Jeffrey Children's Centre offers programs and services that meet the physical, developmental and social needs of northwestern Ontario children of all ages and abilities. Their dedicated and caring professionals acknowledge and respect each family's uniqueness and seek their advice and guidance to help children reach their potential. Tbaytel has had a close, caring connection with George Jeffrey, supporting events like the Soapbox Races, Hometown Heroes Charity Golf Classic, and the annual Parade of Lights, all of which help kids get the services and programs they need to thrive.
Leadership Thunder Bay was developed in 2003 to encourage our community to think about the future. With the help of local organizations such as Tbaytel, Leadership Thunder Bay's eight month program helps to encourage participants to challenge themselves and the current thinking surrounding issues facing Thunder Bay.
Since 1995, this non-profit community development organization has offered innovative family programming thanks to the assistance of local companies - like Tbaytel - who believe that strong communities start with strong families and connected neighbourhoods.
Chantal is a gal on the go. Immediately after graduating from the Police Foundations program at Confederation College, Chantal looked for opportunities to interact with the community. Now her plate is full: in addition to chairing the Thunder Bay Crime Prevention Council Education Working Group, providing a student perspective to the Police Foundations Program Advisory Committee, and participating in the Thunder Bay Public Library’s Readers are Leaders program; Chantal is an active member of the Thunder Bay Police Service Zone Watch program.
