Available to customers who reside in the City of Thunder Bay and have a qualifying security system valued at $1,500 or less. System must be inspected by a Tbaytel Technician at customer’s expense, and be trouble/issue free in order to qualify. Does not include cameras, access control, intercoms, and large scale commercial security systems. 1 Replacement of wireless accessory batteries not included in the Essential Maintenance Plan. 2 Customers are responsible to contact Tbaytel to schedule annual inspection. 3 Devices that are near or past a manufacturer expiry date or have exceeded 15 years of age at time of failure are not considered defective. Does not include replacement parts due to renovations, requests to relocate equipment, loss or damage as a result of communication failure to the central station, loss or damage to the security system caused by acts of god or negligence by the system owner. Repair and maintenance work will be performed during regular business hours and based on available appointment times. 4 Premium Maintenance Plan includes 100% refund on 1st false dispatch occurrence per calendar year, when determined billable by Thunder Bay Police.
