What are the different Security Account User Permissions?

Information about permissions for Authorized Users, Keyholders and Responders.

Customer (Primary Account Holder)

The Customer has full security system and account privileges. They have a code and a key to the property.
 
Permissions:
  • Arm/disarm anytime
  • Cancel alarm
  • Edit Customer, Contact, Keyholder and User information - phone numbers, passwords etc.
  • Request account information from the Monitoring Station
  • Obtain event history
  • Change arm/disarm schedule
  • Create arm/disarm temporary window
  • Put entire security system on test
  • Put a designated system/area(s) on test
  • Put a medical system and/or device on test
  • Initiate repairs
 

Contact (Callout, Responder)

Individuals called to respond to an alarm.  They have a code and a key to the property.
 
Permissions:
  • Arm/disarm anytime
  • Cancel alarm
  • Edit Customer, Contact, Keyholder and User information - phone numbers, passwords etc.
  • Request account information from the Monitoring Station
  • Obtain event history
  • Put entire security system on test
  • Put a designated system/area(s) on test
  • Put a medical system and/or device on test
  • Initiate repairs
 

Keyholders

Individuals with a code and a key to the property who are authorized to call the Monitoring Station to place a security system on test or cancel an alarm.  Keyholders are not contacted by the monitoring station to respond to alarms.  Typically keyholders are contractors, maintenance people etc.
 
Permissions:
  • Cancel alarm
  • Put entire security system on test
  • Can arm/disarm within schedule
 

Users

Individuals with alarm codes for arming and disarming only.  Actively electronically logged to account history.  Typically users can be children, employees, babysitters, cleaners etc.
 
Permissions: 
  • Can arm/disarm within schedule
 

Permission Notes

Only the Customer (Primary Security Account Holder) has the ability to:
  • Make changes to the billing account
  • Cancel monitoring service
All Tbaytel Security Customers and/or Users are required to contact the Security Monitoring Station for validation via password or passcode to process any required monitoring account changes. All calls are recorded for our mutual protection.
