My TV has no signal

My TV is showing no signal even though my set top box is on

If your TV has no signal even when your set top box is on, it is likely that your TV is set to the wrong input. You can check your TV's input setting using your TV remote or Tbaytel TV remote.

Using the TV’s remote control

  1. Using the Television’s remote is the easiest, since it is a TV setting we will be changing.
  2. Locate the Input selection button on the remote control.
    • It can be called Input, Source, TV/Video.
    • On some Smart TV’s you will need to press Home and then find Input or Source in the menu.
  3. You will be presented with an input list. Tbaytel will usually install the services on HDMI1 or HDMI2, but could be in any of the available HDMI ports. Select the correct input and then press OK.
    • Occasionally inputs will be named or labeled something other than HDMI1; so you may see things like Amigo7xESP (default set-top box name), Unknown, Cable Box, Living Room or Tbaytel
  4. If your service is still not restored, return to step 2 and check the other inputs.
  5. If all inputs are checked and there is still no service, check the physical connections (see instructions below).
  6. If issues persist, call Technical Support at 807-623-4400 or toll free at 1-800-264-9501.
