Tbaytel Fibre Now Available for Customers in Marathon
Marathon, Ontario (June 13, 2022) – Tbaytel has officially launched its state-of-the-art Fibre service to customers in Marathon.
With installations well underway, customers in Marathon can now access Tbaytel’s five-product telecommunications bundle in their homes and businesses – including mobility, Internet, TV, phone and security – all from a single provider at competitively priced rates. As of June 1, there are now 1,138 businesses and residences ready for service with the remaining 729 addresses expected later this summer.
“Bringing Fibre to additional communities in our region is a key part of our commitment to providing advanced telecommunications solutions in northern Ontario, as well as investing in the future of the region as a whole,” said Tbaytel President and CEO Dan Topatigh.
“Having Tbaytel Fibre in Marathon brings tremendous opportunity to our residential and business customers.
Since project plans for the expansion of Tbaytel’s lineup of residential and business services to the Marathon area were announced in 2021, the company has built a modern Fibre optic network and opened a brand new Tbaytel Store in Marathon, with the Store grand opening planned for June 16 and 17.
Marathon Mayor Rick Dumas said it’s an exciting time for the town as it joins Thunder Bay, Fort Frances, Dryden, Kenora and Keewatin as northern Ontario communities that have access to Tbaytel Fibre.
“Whether it’s a young entrepreneur looking to bring their idea to the world or a family who needs more bandwidth, this project allows us to fully participate in the digital economy right here in Marathon, “ Dumas said.
Fibre optic technology services customers with virtually unlimited bandwidth through a direct connection to their home or business. In addition to the benefits that can be felt across multiple sectors ranging from education, health care, social services and information technology, access to Fibre technology can also mean an exceptional telecommunications and entertainment experience for customers in their homes.
Marathon residents can visit the Tbaytel Store at 2 Ontario Street Unit 8, call (807) 232-8080 or visit tbaytel.net/marathonfibre for more information.
